Ships/Vehicles for the server

Post by IrishDragon » Tue Nov 01, 2005 1:17 pm

For some more exciting battles on NabooHills21 or BDC-Racing, I'd like to place a few custom made ships into the server for certain times. We can switch to a map, and I will shell out a bunch of NPC vehicles.

Only issues I can forsee with this is the following:

1.) The Max vehicle error when using any MOD except JA+

2.) The unintentional removal of members/players who have not downloaded the files.

So please list some good vehicles, as well as the link to their locations.

I will take them for a test run, and see how they act on the server.

I have 2 recommendations.

1.) Snow Speeder. *They are slower than most, which makes them easier to fly, especially through buildings with wide enough 'door ways'*

2.) Jedi Fighters. *They are fast, manuverable, and will push you to the limits...LIMITS!!*

The Deathorb which is included in the Zion map, if anyone knows how to extract vehicles properly from maps please let me know and I will send ID the zip file.

The Deathorb is fast, manuverable, and as small as your character's head.. Litterally.

The only problem is even though it is small it cannot go through doors even if they open automatically because the doors will not register the ship as your Character trying to pass through it, but more as a gunfire etc. So probably only use this ship in open areas like Taspir (FUN, Trust me, I've tried it) and Naboo Hills (very easy to avoid ID when he goes into merc mode on Naboo with this sucker :P)

one suggestion, now that u're talking about ships in maps, it will be cool if in server could be loaded deathstar_trench map for TFFA games, reviving the legendary battle of yavin in JA :D, what do u think?
